Prep work

Rinse black beans in plain water and drain them. Soak the black beans for 8 hours or overnight.  Discard the water from soaked beans and wash them a couple of times.

Wash the soaked or dired black beans thoroughly 2 to 3 times. Then, drain them completely and add these to the instant pot inner pot.

Then add water, salt and close the Instant pot with its lid. Seal the pressure valve.

Select pressure cook mode and cook it for 9 minutes on high pressure for soaked black beans. Cook it for 30 minutes on high pressure for dried beans.

Do a 10-minute pressure release, and perfectly cooked black beans are ready to use in your recipes!
