Instant Pot  Chickpea Curry Quick & Delicious

Main Ingredients

Prep work

If you're using dried chickpeas, soak them overnight in water. Then rinse them a few times and set aside. Make tomato puree and keep it aside. Chop onions, grate garlic, ginger and keep them aside.

Step 1

Start the Instant Pot in saute mode. Add oil, bay leaf, and cumin seeds.

Step 2

Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped onions. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Step 3

Add tomato puree and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add spice powders to the cooked tomato mixture and mix well.

Step 5

Add the chickpeas and stir until they're coated with the tomato mixture.

Step 6

Pour water into the pot to cover the chickpeas.

Step 7

Pressure cook  on HIGH pressure. After cooking, wait for 10 minutes and release the pressure.

Step 8

Add cashew cream to thicken and make the curry creamy. Mix it well.
