Prep work

Soak the black-eyed peas for 6 to 8 hours.

If using canned peas, drain them thoroughly and use the beans directly to make the dip.

Step 1

Add the rinsed black-eyed peas to the Instant pot inner pot.

Step 2

Add water and close the instant pot with its lid.

Step 3

Pressure cook the soaked black-eyed peas for 5 minutes on high pressure. And cook unsoaked black-eyed peas for 16 minutes.

Step 4

Drain the water and keep the cooked black-eyed peas aside.

Step 5

Blend all the ingredients into a smooth paste or as per your liking.

Creamy and delicious black-eyed peas dip is ready to serve for your New year's meal!
