Instant pot steel cut oats

Learn how to cook steel cut oats in an Instant pot and different topping ideas to make your breakfast colorful and nourishing!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Sweetner of choice I used honey
  • Fresh fruits and nuts for toppings
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add steel cut oats to the Instant pot inner pot.
  • Now add water and a pinch of salt to it.
  • Close the instant pot with its lid and start the instant pot in manual or pressure cook mode. Cook it for 5 minutes on HIGH pressure.
  • Once the instant pot beeps, turn it off and let the pressure release naturally. It will take around 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Open the instant pot lid and stir in the coconut milk and sweetener of your choice.
  • Mix the oatmeal and serve it warm with lots of fresh fruits. I love to add nuts for added crunch.
