A quick and easy method for steaming sprouts in the Instant Pot without a steamer basket. Perfectly cooked sprouts, ready in just minutes, are great for salads, soups, and more.

Ingredients

mung bean sprouts

tablespoon
water
Instructions
Rinse Sprouts:
Gently rinse sprouts under cold running water.
Prepare Instant Pot:
Add 2 tablespoons of water directly into the Instant Pot inner pot.
Place Sprouts:
Add rinsed sprouts directly into the inner pot.
Pressure Cook:
Close the lid, set the valve to “Sealing,” and pressure cook on HIGH for 0 minutes.
Quick Release:
Once done, carefully turn the valve to “Venting” for quick release.
Serve:
Drain any excess water, and season sprouts with a pinch of salt if desired.

Avoid adding too much water; 2 tablespoons is perfect for steaming.
Season sprouts after steaming to maintain texture.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 2-3 days.
