Avocado paratha is a soft, flavorful flatbread that adds a creamy twist to everyday Indian bread chapati. It's perfect for quick meals or lunch boxes, as the dough comes together in minutes and cooks fast.
The avocado not only adds flavor but also makes the parathas naturally soft, without the need for extra oil, making them ideal for pairing with your favorite curries or chutneys. Knead the dough gently with minimal water for smooth, pliable avocado parathas.

Why My Avocado Paratha Always Turns Out Perfect

The secret to this avocado paratha lies in mashing the avocado smoothly and mixing it directly into the flour before adding any water. This ensures the fat from the avocado coats the flour evenly, making the parathas stay soft for hours.
Minimal water is key here; add just enough to bind the dough. I also use this same method for other flavored parathas, like my zucchini paratha and spinach paratha.
The trick of combining the flavoring ingredient directly into the dough works across variations, ensuring a consistent texture and taste every single time.
