This avocado cilantro sauce and dip is a quick, versatile recipe that's perfect for busy days. You can use it as a creamy dip for snacks, a zesty sauce for mains, or a flavorful dressing for salads.

In just 10 minutes, with a few fresh ingredients and a blender, you'll have a smooth, herby dip that effortlessly fits into any meal plan. I love serving this as a dip for my Indian roasted vegetables.

    Avocado Favorites from My Kitchen

Avocado is one of my favorite ingredients because it's creamy, fresh, versatile, and so easy to use. This cilantro dip is my quick trick to brighten up any meal. Just a handful of herbs, a squeeze of lemon, and ripe avocado make it taste like something special.

Over the years, I've enjoyed finding different ways to bring avocado into our meals. My Spicy Guacamole is a family favorite for movie nights, while the Avocado Black Bean Salad makes a quick lunch on busy days. For something hearty yet refreshing, I turn to the Avocado Kidney Bean Salad.

And if I have a little extra time, I make Avocado Paratha, which my kids love with yogurt on the side. These recipes show how simple ingredients, when used thoughtfully, can turn everyday meals into something memorable.

    Happy Cooking!

    Detailed Steps

Here is how I make this quick and simple dip or sauce recipe.

Bowl of fresh avocado chunks, cilantro leaves, green chili, and salt ready to make avocado cilantro dip.

Step 1: Add all ingredients - avocado, chopped cilantro, lime juice, garlic, jalapeño, and salt to a blender jar. Blend until smooth.

Smooth green avocado cilantro dip blended to a creamy consistency in a steel bowl.

Step 2: Add water gradually to achieve your preferred consistency. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

    Serving Tips

I often use this avocado cilantro dip in many different meals. These are some of my favorite ideas.

    • Use any leftover dip as a base for guacamole; add tomatoes, onions, and a little extra spice for a delicious twist.
    • Spoon it over rice dishes like Black Beans Rice or Chickpeas Rice for a creamy finish.
    • Spread it inside Lentil Wraps or along with soft chapati for a quick meal.
    • Mix into the dough for making Avocado Paratha, a flavorful twist the whole family will enjoy.
    • Serve as a dip with Roasted Vegetables or crunchy Amaranth Crackers.
    • Pair with Millet Burger Patties or Mushroom Patties as a creamy sauce.
    • Use it as a dressing for bean salads like Black-Eyed Peas Salad or Black Bean and Chickpea Salad to make them more refreshing.
